Your use of this website is regulated by these terms and conditions. By using and continuing to use our website and services you signify your consent and agreement to these terms and conditions. This website is designed to be used to gain information regarding our services and for the authorised access of our clients.

Amendments

Hourglass Psychology may amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Please review the terms and conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes. We will endeavour to notify you of any significant or substantive changes where possible.   

Nature and provision of services

The service offered by Hourglass Psychology is not an emergency service, nor is it intended for use in the event of urgent mental health or medical assistance.  

Where there is a risk of harm to self or others or immediate urgent assistance is required you should contact emergency services by calling 000.

We do not provide an emergency out of hours service and take only pre-booked appointments subject to minimum notice periods. Hourglass Psychology is not responsible for any loss, damage, cost, expense, action, claim, demand, proceeding, injury or liability suffered by any person as a failure by that person, or any other to contact Emergency Services.

The Hourglass Psychology website and any booking or payment platform used by Hourglass Psychology is for the sole use of providing psychological services in non-urgent situations only.

Payment and fees

Our fees do not exceed the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fees for services. Please see APS Psychologist fees here for further information.

For all appointments booked directly or via the website you agree to pay the stated fees to Hourglass Psychology. Valid credit/debit card details are required at time of booking. Payment will be automatically deducted by Hourglass Psychology once your session has concluded.

Consultation fees are based upon the service provided, or as advised by or negotiated with Hourglass Psychology.

Fees shall be determined at the sole discretion of Hourglass Psychology and shall include reference to the clinician, the duration and nature of the service.

Any booking or administrative fees are notified in advance at the time of booking.

We retain the right to modify our advertised fees, or fees applicable to any future service, at any time without prior notice.

Unless stated, all fees listed include applicable taxes.  

Cancellation policy

When a course of therapy is entered into upon mutual agreement, an appointment time is reserved for you. Appointments are either 60 minutes (first session) or 50 minutes (standard subsequent sessions) in duration unless otherwise arranged.

Appointment non-attendance, or cancellation and rescheduling within 48 hours of your booked session, is subject to a fee of 50% of the total amount of the session. Repeated non-attendance, or late cancellation/re-scheduling may result in changes to payment arrangements or the inability of Hourglass Psychology to continue to provide services to you.
